Metabolic abnormalities underlying diabetes can be abrogated by l-arginine. Here we examined the molecular basis of disturbed interscapular brown adipose tissue (IBAT) thermogenesis and the possible role of nitric oxide (NO) in the IBAT of diabetic rats.
