New values of certain meristic characters in the Eurasian perch Perca fluviatilis L. (four spiny rays and ten and eleven branched rays in the second dorsal fin, three spiny rays in the anal fin, ten and eleven rays in the pectoral fin and five and six scales above the lateral line) have been recorded in the perch populations from the Danube and the Stari Begej. These values differ from previously existing data for this species found in the literature, and may help in completing the picture of intraspecific variation in Eurasian perch.en_US
