The first record of Pseudorasbora parva in the Balkan region was in 1977 in Sasko Lake, Montenegro and in 1978 it was found in Serbia. Since then, this species has spread to almost all lowland rivers and has become a permanent member of the ichthyofauna in Serbia and Montenegro. © 2004 The Fisheries Society of the British Isles.en_US
