Novi Sad. | Abstract: | In this paper we report the first data on the diversity of tiger beetle fauna of Fruška Gora Mt. (northern Serbia). A total of 20 beetle specimens were collected manually in the studied area in the past 16 years. These specimens belong to three species and two subspecies. Compared to other investigated areas in Serbia, it can be concluded that Fruška Gora Mt. currently has a moderately rich fauna of tiger beetles. Further field explorations in the investigated area could result in findings of a few more tiger beetle species. With three Cicindelinae reported herein, the total number of ground beetle species of Fruška Gora Mt. is now 187. We also present a list of tiger beetle taxa of Serbia. |
